They are conductors that release electrical energy in the form of an arc in an arc furnace to heat and melt the charge. According to electrodes' quality indicators, they can be divided into regular power, high power, and ultra-high power. Electric arc furnace and Ladle furnace steelmaking is the largest application area for graphite electrodes. In the electric arc furnace steelmaking process, graphite electrodes are used as conductive media, and the high temperature generated by the arc between the electrode tip and the charge is used to melt the charge.
